Hey look, another news post already!
- Like us, Tom Smith has his website back together.
- GAFilk happened last weekend. Anybody want to write a con report?
- Norwescon has gone through a couple of concerts leads this year – currently it’s back in the hands of their Special Events manager, Alan Bond. Wish him luck. Daytime programming is in the very good hands of Jen Kilmer.
- Consonance 2016 is March 4-6, 2016 at the Crowne Plaza Silicon Valley, in Milpitas CA. We’ll add it to the events list.
That’s it for the moment. As always, send us your events! We’ll share them along.

We’re still looking for someone to run a Filk room for us for We Are ALL SF Con on Nov. 4-6, 2016 in Ocean Shores, WA.

I had a total blast at GAFilk. Usual suspects, about 160 of them, but a few folks definitely missing — Harold Stein, Lisa Padol, and Joshua Kronengold not the least among the missing. It just isn’t GAFilk without Lisa and Josh dancing in the back of the room…
Here’s a post-con report, spotted by FilkNews on Twitter:

It was great meeting K-J, although his accent was challenging…
I would mention that even attending all the main programming would miss a lot of the fun. There is an unknown but long-running Alternate Filk going on in another room, always featuring myself and Blind Lemming Chiffon, and this year featuring Peter Alway, Lauren Cox, Phil (last name not remembered, despite his participation at least the last three years), and a listener guest. The advantage of an alternate room is a smaller group to get your song into, with the disadvantage that all the main guests don’t get to hear it unless they, too, find the Alt room.
