Now we have a Twitter account – ho, ho, ho! It’ll be updated automatically with new posts. This is both announcement and the first test of the linking plug-in.
We also made a Facebook account too. Same story as the Twitter account.

We are a group of people devoted to extending the knowledge and experience of the musical form known as filk throughout Cascadia and the Salish Sea – Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia.
We are active with the local science fiction conventions, and work with them to encourage filk programming. We also work with filk dealers to make sure that filk materials are available at those same conventions. We’re particularly easy to find at Conflikt, the Seattle Filk Convention. Lastly, we maintain a mailing list where people can discuss filk events of all kinds.
The Emerald Forest Filk Society email list is moving to the Mighty Mighty Murkworks. This’ll probably be bumpy, at least for the archives, because we’re moving them to mailman format (thanks Anna!) and out of archaic Majordomo format (argh) and everything is exploding into a million pieces.
New messages should archive fine tho’, which will be good, because the old archiver quit last year and, well, yeah. YAY new archives!
The Emerald Forest Filk Society got a new website today, and you’re looking at it. Isn’t it shiny? Yes, we know we’re using an old theme. That’s on purpose.
The mailing list was also ported to a new server and modern software. ADVENTURES!
Conflikt 7, a Pacific Northwest Filk Convention, is almost upon us! The final progress report just went online, so go read it.
